Did you know you can use KidEvent Pro for more than just VBS? Many of you over the past year have begun using KidEvent Pro to manage VBS, summer camp, Parents Night Out, retreats, and even weekly programming. Your feedback has allowed us to update some of the functionality to better suit your needs. And the best part is, we’re not done yet! You’ll continue to see improvements based on your suggestions… so keep them coming!
Here are the main changes taking place in KidEvent Pro this year:
1) Your account now stays live all year long… a full 365 days without interruption! In years past, we reserved a two-week period for site maintenance. This is no longer the case; you will always have access to your account.
2) Never wonder when your subscription expires again! On the homepage you will now clearly see a notice telling you how long your subscription is valid. You will also have the option to renew as your expiration date gets closer. (Example: “Your subscription is active through December 15, 2015.”)
3) Set up multiple time frames in a single day! Previously, you could only have one time frame scheduled per day in an event. For instance, you could set up VBS from 9 a.m. to noon, but you couldn’t set up a “VBS Plus” from noon to 5 p.m. on the same day. Now you can!
4) Register volunteers and parents for specific time frames of an event! Before, when you registered for an event, you signed up for every time slot, every day. While this worked great for camps and VBS, it wasn’t so great for events where you knew attendees might come some days, but not others. Now, select “Pick and choose the days I am attending” as you are setting up your event. This means you can schedule a day camp, a Parent’s Day Out series, or even a whole semester of a weekly missions program or music program using a single registration. Volunteers and parents of participants can select the days they’ll attend.
